A new play created by Emmy and Peabody winner Norman Stephens and directed by Cameron Crain for Nevada Shakespeare Company. From the “soiled doves” of Virginia City in the mid-1800’s to the to the trafficked teens of today, the stories of “working girls,” “madams,” “johns,” cabbies, cops and politicians are told in a series of monologues written by a collection of local and national playwrights, including Tony Award Winner John Pielmeir.

McCormick tells her story not to titillate but to help younger women decide not to enter prostitution, to show them that getting out is way harder than getting in, and to give hope for escape to those already on the prowl. She envisions change in federal and local laws regarding the sex-trade industry as well as a place where postituting women might find the refuge and the help to put their lives in order.

"Powerful and compelling stuff -- with a ring of authenticity"

"Told in a gritty and blunt style, a name-dropper sure to raise eye-brows, if not some controversy"
